08 Drive electric mistake made it faster
We adding a voltage reducer for lights to my friend 48 volt 2008 Yamaha Drive. I will first admit this was pretty late and we had been drinking beer all day. We basically hook up the reducer backwards. We put the wires that are supposed to go the the lights on the batteries. Got a large pop on the terminal. Fried the reducer. We did not think to put it in tow mode until the big pop. luckily I had an extra reducer. We got it put on and lights work. We go to take it for a spin and holy crap. The throttle pedal is super sensitive at take off and the cart is noticeable faster. Batteries are four year old trojans. Everything works and charges as it should. My friend loves it but we are a little concerned about the kids playing on it or forgeting to turn off the key and a dog accidently pushing it. Anyone know what we did???
