It will need new batteries soon and I've been comparing the cost of batteries (around 600-700$) to the 212cc harbor freight motor (99$) that I see some people converting with.

Looking for any information/tips on doing this. I understand I'll need to do some welding, find the right size sprocket and chain. I understand there will be no reverse and that's fine I would prefer to have it but not a huge deal.

What size sprocket would be ideal for this?
Chain size?
Is it best to fit under the seat with a tensioner or have it fixed above the rear axle?

Thank you in advance for all input.
Guess you didn't really mean this. Maybe you are on the wrong website?

Even still, none of you could just ****** answer the simple questions that I asked? You couldn't just help someone out, you all had to make it way more difficult than it needed to be..
Have a good day, I won't be asking anymore questions on here so you few can relax.
There's something your not quite understanding...
The members that frequent this particular forum... Still have electric motors attached to their transaxle, SOooo... they can't answer your questions!

HAD you started this thread in the Clone forum, you might just have gotten some sort of answer!

Good luck!

lol. I saw a chart the other day that said I was a "Millennial". I'll be 35 this year and I take offense to that nonsense.

I'm not a Millennial. The chart was wrong.

A guy here posted video of his and he was zinging down the road pretty nice it did 20 some mph or something on flat ro/ad, just saying its likely not great for much else. Takes less power to run down a paved road, my stock G9 would lose 2mph on packed gravel from pavement with 22 tires. And that assumes you don't have any hills to go up.
G9 - Lifan Clone. Short block still stock

Yes, the OP was posted a while back, but this thread was still current. This thread was last posted to on 01/29/17, this is a current thread, I'm sorry you don't have the patients ( I don't think I spelled that right), to read thru it. but I guessing your one of them ebonics guys or what ever you can them,so you can figure that out.
We are a bunch of sparkys, we don't know nothing bout no petro cart.
My best advice to you my friend, it to go on over to the clone engine threads, cause we surely can't help you.
I apologize for our stupidity, but not everybody is not as smart as you.

We'd be happy to clean this thread up, and move it!
BUT... BGW has a long standing rule to not edit, move, or remove threads without the OP's request or permission!

It's up to Mat what he wants to do with it!
