Default Re: Charger or Battery Issue IDK

The charger should shut off. Mine and all others shut off after the charge cycle is complete. That could range from a few hrs to several hrs depending on the rate of discharge from use.
You just brought a new piece of information to the possible problem.

I feel like after I installed 2ga wires and the stud contraption thru the OBC is when it started.
You just went over my head on what you did. I have no idea on what you did on rewiring and I feel that your problem is related to that.
You need to go back through what you rewired to make sure what you did is correct. I believe something is not correct in your wiring. Make sure that the wiring on the battery pack is correct. I don't know anything about the stud contraption since I have never did that.
If the problem started when you rewired, something is not wired correctly.

The 2ga cable does not fit thru the hole in the OBC. So I read I you have to thread a stud thru it with washers and nuts and then connect the 2ga on either ends.

Out of curiosity, when your charger is on after 30 min or so, the batteries should start bubbling. Are all six batteries doing this? pop the caps and see....

They have never bubbled, boiled over, anything. My wife did say she smelt like a rotten egg smell a while ago when it was charging. I thought she was losing it....lol

that smell is overcharged batteries... even 5 month old batteries can be ruined if the charger never shut off.

Look at the batteries, are the sides bulging out?

Keep it in a ventilated area,

How's the water level in every cell?

Brass or copper stud thru the OBC?

I am not sure if that is your issue but I know the studs I have seen are not wrapped in tape.
