Stud is stainless not brass or copper. Batteries are not bulged

I don't think stainless is acceptable in this application. Brass is the preferred method. Most people use toilet flange bolts if buying locally.

Tape on the stud is good. Keeps the stud from rubbing the sensor and doing damage.

So where should I start? I'm thinking of buying an on board Lester charger and by pass the computer to start. Then do solenoid, alltrax, FNR switch?
