Volt Meter not reading correctly
My cart is 48 volts, I installed 6 new 8 volt batteries a couple months ago and my volt meter was reading about 50-51 volts while charging. Then a couple weeks ago my meter started reading lower voltage while charging of around 30 volts, but the cart still runs great 19-21 MPH. Now its down to around 13-14 volts, but the cart still runs great.
Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? |

Re: Volt Meter not reading correctly
Bad meter? Use your handheld multi-meter to determine if the meter is reading badly.

Re: Volt Meter not reading correctly
Bad Meter were my thoughts too. I just kind of wanted confirmation from someone else. It was a cheap amazon meter, just ordered a new one from Carts Unlimited. Thanks ScottyB.

Re: Volt Meter not reading correctly
Is there something that could be making my volt meter crap out? The new meter I just put in about a year ago started reading 14-15 volts, just like my old one I replaced. Or, do these meters only last about a year on average?
