Negative Camber issue on 09 CC
Could someone be kind enough to tell me if there is a Camber adjustment for this front end? I think I got the toe in squared away with 1/8" closer on the front of the tire vs the back (it was toed out when I measured it before adjustment) but these tires are wearing very badly on the inside. They have been on the cart for 6 years and I have put a lot miles on them but the backs look fine so I'm pretty sure it is an uneven wear issue.
Thanks! |

Re: Negative Camber issue on 09 CC
Yea I saw those but couldn't find anything definitive other than multiple suggestions of installing an allsport lift kit?
One guy changed out everything he could on the front end but still had and issue so swapped out the whole front end? Do you think changing the bushing will make the difference ? https://www.amazon.com/Bushing-Front...s%2C159&sr=8-3 |

I wish I had an answer for you, really. I'm watching your thread to learn, too. I think I've read that the Amazon bushing kits aren't built to last though.

Re: Negative Camber issue on 09 CC
I've got three observations from looking at your pictures. First the kingpin looks like its never been greased. There might be some wear on it. Second that block that has been added to the front spring will cause some camber problems. Third the camber doesn't look that far off. That front wear looks more like over or under inflation. The camber will wear only the inner edge while the outside looks brand new.

It’s been about 2 years since I got the grease gun out so yea probably overdue. I looked at manual and watched a few videos but it looks like that front camber adjustment moves both tires simultaneously right and left instead of positive and negative camber? // or \\ instead of / \ and \ /

Re: Negative Camber issue on 09 CC
Bundi, That spacer used to help with clearance on 215/40-12 tires on a Precedent causes the extra camber as WalterM6 said. There are a set of Camber Correcting King Pins from Jake's that will take care of that. I had that same issue on my '06 before I decided to go with new body and lift kit. They did straightened out the camber issue when I installed them.
Here's a link, doesn't say whether in stock. Ogg Luck on that part... https://www.jakesliftkits.com/liftkit/jake's-club-car-precedent-alignment-king-pins-(fits-2004-up)/7277 |
