2002 Club Car DS Speed Issue
Just got a new to me 2002 Club Car DS 48 volt and it’s not as fast as I thought it would be. Averages 10mph on straight aways. 8 up small hills. 13-15 downhill. It doesn’t have the IQ system. Batteries are fully charged. Any ideas what could be the problem. Was reading it could be a speed sensor but I’m not sure it it even has one on the non IQ version. Thoughts please.

No speed sensor on that Series cart. They are not fast in stock form, but the pack could be a little weak if it is older.

What's the voltage on the entire pack in series?

Re: 2002 Club Car DS Speed Issue
When I bought my 2002 DS it had a 500 amp controller and stock motor. It would run 14 with 23” tires and 2 year old batteries.
I added a Beast motor for torque and speeds increased to 22mph. |
