Default Elec. temps...

Using an infared digital thermometer, I checked the various temps of things under the seat today. Did 2 miles total, 1 with three adults, 1 with one adult....ran wide open ( 14-15 mph) all the way except to drop off people. Opened the seat and took some readings. Voltage was 37.6 when starting out, 37.1 when temps taken.

Outside temp....97
batteries...........97.2
battery cables...98.2
motor.............101.3
motor cables.....99
controller.........102.7
solenoid...........105.6

Anything look out of the ordinary? Controller and solenoid look old and stock, batteries are 06 I think, motor is D&D....dated '01 and stock style, new 4 ga. cables, new HD F&R, stock tires.

Just wanting to understand more about the function under the seat....

Excellent research there Pete
I have done the same thing may times.
Like Gornoman says, all those temps are within normal.
110-120F is about the red flag on any of the conductors.
Don't forget to check your F&R if it's a series cart.

Forgot to put down the F&R....read 99.3.

Glad all looks good. I ran a total of about 9 miles today with varying passengers, soft to packed dirt and sand and ended with 37.1v.
