Another stupid question, I guess. Do they make any of the new 48 volt club cars that come from the factory with 4-12 volt batteries?
My friend has a 2 year old cart that he says, came that way.
any way I borrowed his charger and it charged 15 amps for a minute and then cut back below zero, like it was reverse polarity, so I unplugged it and decided to wait until I can get the parts to overhaul mine. I am just wondering if there may be something wrong on my cart to make it not want to charge.
I must have pretty good batteries in mine, as I have run it a good distance for a week, and it still shows 47.2 volts on a meter. Maybe it just isn't ready to be charged yet.

Yes CC produced precedents with 4/12v batteries.

At 47.2 volts your cart is past due for a charge.
They are sitting at 30% capacity. Recharge is recommended at 50% or 48.4v

Parts came in and charger is working. My only concern is that it only shows 10 amps when it's charging, and it should show at least 15-17 amps when the battery is low, I would think.
Guess I had better not complain as it did put a full charge in the cart overnight and had cut off when I looked this morning.
Just hope it all keeps working. Thanks for all the help.

On the Radio Shack potentiometer, do you recall how you hooked it up? I was trying but not getting a response. I used just the purple and yellow wires. Where does the white wire connect?
