Yes, I removed all three from the F&R switch. I jumped the orange & brown one, leaving the blue one alone. I put one wire in the brown & as soon as I put the wire in the orange one, it started buzzing. When I removed the wire i was using to jump the orange/brown wires, the buzzing stopped. I pushed the accelerator down(while I was jumping the orange/brown wires), but cart didn't move.

I used a small wire to jump the orange/brown ones. I placed one end of the wire in the brown & the other end in the orange. It was when I put the other end into the orange, that the reverse alarm started buzzing right away. I hope that clarifies what I did. Thanks again!

By doing this test you're basically eliminating the possibility of a short in the F&R switch. I was thinking that maybe there was an internal short in the switch that was making the car think it was in Forward AND Reverse at the same time. When this happens, the cart won't run. This test confirms that the cart beeps no matter what position the selector is in. My diagnosis is a bad controller.

Great, we will get a controller. One last question, if we noticed in the past few weeks, when cart was working, that our cart speed was much slower than usual, would that of been due to controller going out or could there be another problem with our OBC?

Thank you so much for everything!

Could be a sign of a bad speed sensor, bad controller, bad MCOR, or low battery voltage. Without some voltage numbers or throttle readings I can't tell you for sure. It's definitely not an OBC problem.

Don't want to hijack this thread...just a quick shout out and "thank you" to TahoeDawgZ71 for his expert advice...

Had a similar problem and found this thread...pulled all three wires and jumped the brown and orange...car went forward...!!! Took the rocker switch apart and it was full of corrosion. Cleaned and reassembled it, lubed it with dielectric grease...worked like a charm...!!!

Thanks sooooo much for the great advice...keep up the good work...!!!

Alright brand new to the site and I have the precedent that does this in forward. It seems it only happens when we use little throttle or none while going downhill. We have to lift then slam the throttle to re-engage the throttle. Talking to a couple people they seem to think speed sensor but wanted a second opinion? I believe that it is the IQ system if that helps. We have just installed brand new Trojan batteries and would like to have a tip top running cart. All the help and suggestions are appreciated!!

You are best to start your own thread and describe your problem in detail as you have a Precedent and she has a DS and we need to focus on one issue at a time…✔️

And Welcome! ✔️✔️
