Ingrid
Hi, I bought a used 85 club car it has the model 101290 motor and the 5 speed limit switches in a box. Batteries are fully charged and when gas pedal is pressed you hear a click, click, click, click from the solenoids and resistor, but the motor will not come on. I checked wiring by your diagrams but this motor has 4 posts that are separated 2 in front and 2 toward the back side, not in a row, the front has the red and black hooked to the F & R switch and the back 2 are hooked--1 to solenoid and the other to NEG. post. I still get nothing from motor ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS? Thank you in advance! I don't have a clue!

Re: Ingrid
Well we would need the pack voltage at rest, then when you hit go (you need a volt meter for this.....cheapie will work).....also you can jack up the rear wheels (very important) and "bump over" (screw driver and cross the two big post on top) of the main solenoid ( the one without the coils)

Re: Ingrid
Your cart has 4 'speed' solenoids and one master. The master may not be working. It is the solenoid on the far drivers side of the cart. If you determine the solenoid is not working then determine if the activation circuit or the solenoid coil has failed
All testing should be done with one wheel jacked up off the floor . |

Nobody can say guarding against the 1 in 100,000 chance is a bad idea. but as a service tech I never came across such a cart.
