LED underbody install question

Hi, great forum, I am new here, and just in the process of my first ever golf cart build. We recently bought a camper and it had a stock 2002 club car DS, that just had headlights, and a rear seat. Needless to say I have learned lots on here and soon she wont look stock anymore.

I bought a set of led glow golf cart light kit (the one with a million colors) and I was wondering where you guys installed the 2 control boxes, and if you had any pics of the tube placement also. I want a clean install, but afraid of drilling up in to the cross bars where the batteries are cuz I think the enclosed self tappers are a bit to long and I really dont want to drill into a battery. It almost seems like I need a plastic tube clamp of some sort to mount so I can drill into the side kick panel.
