Why new batteries not charging
I have had my new batteries (T105) about 2 months now. I have kept the water checked in them and have added some one time. I hooked the charger to them last Friday and charged them fully until it kicked out. Checked the water and everything looked good. The cart would hardly go so I thought maybe my charger was bad so I went next door and borrowed a Ezgo charger from a friend for 36v system like I have. If anything the cart is worse......I am sick thinking the batteries are bad.

Re: Why new batteries not charging
Check the voltage of each battery and then straight across. I have a 48 volt cart and 1 battery was off by 3+ volts and cart would hardly move.

They should be under warranty if you have a bad one.

Would one bad battery bring the cart to a crawl?

Yes. I had one bad battery and my cart wouldn't move! Jack up the rear end and place it on jack stands. Hook up a DVM to each battery and press the throttle. If one battery is bad you will see it as the voltage drop of that battery will be much more than the healthy batteries.

Yes it would only crawl. I like using a digital meter for testing.

Re: Why new batteries not charging
Looks like you have finally eliminated the charger. You need to make some voltage measurements and quit guessing. Do you have a meter?

Re: Why new batteries not charging
Batteries connected in series as in most golf carts will deliver no more current than the weakest battery or poorest connection the bank will allow.
