Default should I replace shocks AND leafs???

Hi Everyone....

I Want To Replace My Shocks And/or Springs On My 97 DS.

Me, Wife And Kids (Teens) And Nephews Etc Etc ..... Probably Max Weight
On Cart Would Be 800 lbs ....

Cart Is Fine Now But Wanna Replace / Reinforce AnyWay.

Should I Do Both Shocks And leafs? Does It Make Sense To Do One And Not The Other?

Should I Go Heavy Duty?

Thanks

If you have a back seat, it is generally looked upon as a must to get HD rear springs. Be forewarned that it will hurt your ride quality though. Personally, I'd check out the medium duty rear springs that can be had from some of the site sponsors, they provide extra weight capacity but won't hurt your ride quality as much.

A lot of people think shocks carry load. They do not. They are there to slow down the bounce of the springs thus smoothing out the ride. If the shocks are not leaking or rusted out they are most likely still good. I would guess, I have not tried it, but guess that you would not know if the shocks were on a cart or not.

I got the 2 stage leaf springs, they add as much support as the HD springs but aren't as stiff with a light load. Still not as smooth as stock but not that bad.
