97 Workhorse 1500g spinning, not starting, no spark

Have the starter spinning now. Had to replace the igniter because the blk ground connecting wire snapped off at the igniter body. When cheap and bought Amazon $30 special. Thinking "new iginter" could be bad. But could that also "burn up or short" the pulsar or something else? Even tried swapping the red and white wires on the igniter connector as suggested in another post here. End of rope here. In-line fuse heats up as does the coil on the engine. Please help. I list in my other post all electrical parts that have been replaced.
