Default Options for sealing airbox

Hi,
I recently inherited a G2 from my dad. It still runs well but needs improvement. I checked on the air filter case and noticed the hooks where the rubber straps attach to are missing, probably broken off due to wear. Is there a better alternative to this system or should I just buy a replacement case and lid. Thanks.

I would use OEM, there is nothing better than factory.

Thanks Mike. I'm sourcing one now. One of the dealers is offering a G14 as replacement saying this is a common fix. What are your thoughts on this?

Sounds good to me, but wait a day or so, and let the smart guys have a try. One of them may have a used G2-8-9 box for sale!!

G14 style is completly differant then G2/G9/G8/G5/G11. As long as the air box bottom (and tabs) are ok, and all the partitions are there, buy a new lid/seal and 4 bew hooks/straps and your golden
