Need advise on txt rear-end,
Fellas In the new guy around here but I need some advise from ya. I have a 2014 txt 48v. I have an alltrax xct 500amp, D&D custom dc motor, and all the other goodies heading my way. I wanted to know what kind of rear axle/gear ratio you guys think would be best. My cart isn’t lifted just has 215/40-12’s on it so like 18.5 inches. I really appreciate it guys.

Re: Need advise on txt rear-end,
What kind of use do you intend for your cart? Street use or woods (hunting) use?

Re: Need advise on txt rear-end,
I golf in it. Our golf course has tons of hills. I also use it feeding some of the animals around the house (also tons of hills). Not really a flat spot around here.

Re: Need advise on txt rear-end,
IMHO since your going to a 48V setup, try what you currently have and see how it works for you.
My "hunting" cart has the standard setup and there aren't any hills I've attempted to climb and not made it. Of course, if I judge the hill to be to much, I don't try it. I live in South Western Pennsylvania where hills are hills and mountains are mountains. West Virginia is the only place where the mountains are bigger. FWIW |

Re: Need advise on txt rear-end,
If it were me I'd leave the axle as it is. You can achieve speeds that are not comfortable to drive with the stock gears.
If you still need more speed after installing all your goodies, then I'd look at larger tires or taller gears. |
