Default Leaf Spring Bushing Question

I purchased a rear leaf spring bushing set from Amazon (I know, I know - I had a gift card) and installed over the weekend. I noticed that the bushings that go into the rear end of the leaf spring (so lower hole in shackles) are a bit smaller than the hole in the leaf spring...

Surely this is what caused the ones I removed to be worn out on the inside hole quite considerably.

Did I get wrong parts?

Thanks

The bushings do wear out on their own, so that probably isn't the cause of your prior ones wearing out.

If they are just a bit smaller then I'd spray your rubber bushing with soapy water and try to convince it to go into the spring with a rubber mallet.

Then soapy water on the bolt and convince it to go in the bushing.

So I have no idea if you have the wrong parts or not, but I'd try to make it work first.

They should all be the same size... if they’re a bit sloppy in the spring, it could be that they ran so long without bushings that the springs were worn sloppy

Grease em up... put em in... tighten the crap out of em... and keep another set on hand because they’ll likely wear faster since they’re sloppy in the spring

What cart are you working on?

The bushing I used to replace my RXV leaf spring were the correct size.

It’s not uncommon for them to be difficult. Most sets I do require excessive force...

I'm not sure I misread anything.

Correct, Timberwolflt...the bushings would fall out of the spring if the sleeve wasn't in there...

Cart is a 2004 TXT Series with 7" RHOX BMF lift and some go fast goodies.

So that means that the spring is likely worn out. This could be the cause of my bouncing squeak when loaded in the rear, which certainly won't help in the deer woods.

So, next question - do I need the HD springs or will it ride like crap in the neighborhood with them?

If go back with stock spring (same spring rate), is there an upgrade part over OEM?

Thanks to all

Parts manual shows PN 603109 for the 2-leaf leaf spring...yet when I search for it they're all 3 leaf.

I guess I need education on which ones would fit my 90% neighborhood use with occasional off roading.
