clutches acting up
Hello everyone. I have this consistent problem I cant solve.
2005 txt Climbs hills great On the flats and downhill the clutches act like they are slipping then kick in again. This happens while throttling. Both clutches have had the power spring kit installed. The problem began then. I have tried both sizes of belts. While on a jack, with the throttle at a consistent rpm the drive clutch is opening and closing. Of course the driven clutch is following suit. How do i make this stop?? Last edited by swhite832; 08-22-2020 at 12:56 PM.. Reason: added info |

Re: clutches acting up
I'd try taking the power springs out and putting the stock ones back in. Sometimes these parts "say" they are going to do something and they "actually" do another. I'm not a big fan of power springs, usually they make the clutches act funny and sometimes they actually do damage to the clutches.
