Re: 98 DS - Should be fun
Front suspension reinstalled with fresh bushings and shocks. Huge difference in handling.
Fresh fuel lines, fluid change and new drive and starter belts made a big difference. It used to just take off full throttle or no throttle. now I can back out of the garage without worrying about hitting stuff. Took on my first electrical work with the installation of LED under lights. The hardest thing was finding a dry place to mount the control box. I am going to have to put in a dashboard because the light controls are not watertight. The lights came with a remote and can do all kinds of different colors and patterns. Here is matching orange and here is my wife's favorite blue with the garage door down. Pulled the no step plates and found orange paint underneath so they are in the trash. Mounted the windshield and and rear view mirror and decided to remove the old headlights and tail lights. The headlights are now mounted at the roof line. I'm planning to wire them up with an aux light switch in the dash. I have now confirmed that the factory muffler is too loud for my taste. If anyone knows of an alternative I am all ears. |
