Trojan Lithium is expensive and they require you to link them in parallel which can create balancing issues.

Most vendors have moved away from the multi-battery options in favor of the single BMS units like RoyPow, Bolt, EcoBattery, and Allied Commercial.

Epoch (owned by RoyPow) is the exception right now. They use the cube format, but CANBUS link the BMS's to balance them.

Balance problems occur with series connected batteries, not parallel. If wired correctly, parallel connected batteries will share the current almost equally.

Parallel connected batteries may not share current equally but they will stay at the exact same total voltage. Current sharing depends on Internal Resistance which may not be equal if the batteries are not exactly equal.

I was assuming same batteries, such as the Allied or Epoch kits. With the positive and negative taken from opposite ends of the parallel bank then current should be fairly equal.

The only issue I see with unequal currents would be tripping the BMS on the one with the higher current. If the batteries are equal in age, capacity, mfg tolerances then currents will share pretty much equally. But if you for example bought two now and another a couple years from now to up your capacity, you could run into problems.

Agree with all that. Batteries must be the same model and age.
