Buying high current cables is like buying oats: If you want nice, clean, fresh oats you must pay a fair price. However, if you can be satisfied with oats that have already been through the horse, that comes a little cheaper...

You want welding cable with a high strand count, acid proof insulation, closed end terminal lugs and sealed air tight between cable insulation and lug. I'm old school, so I prefer soldered lugs, and silver solder is the best for this application, but some forum members have found crimped on lugs adequate.

As for the $25 cables on ebay and Amazon they probably give junk a bad name.
(You cannot by the materials to build a decent set of high current cables for that price.)

Got it home yesterday. Batteries checked out pretty good.

What it does seriously need though are brakes....so that and new cables will be my first endeavour.
