Re: HELP! Batt cable change now no movement.
Did that thick lithium grease perchance gunk up the plunger on the FNR micro switch? I see all the wires hooked up and they look correct.

Re: HELP! Batt cable change now no movement.
CCFanatic is right, no wire from V-glide to FNR. His diagram is spot on, here's a visual on my 88 if that works better for you. I jumped the bottom two switch lugs with a copper bar and feed them both with the red-taped wire as the main + wire. That's how you get full speed reverse. Pay no attention to that for now, as your cart is wired correctly there anyhow.
Sorry for the huge pic. |

CC, by this pic there is a red wire going to the vglide, its next to the green. 2 spade connectors are on the inside of vglide,

Re: HELP! Batt cable change now no movement.
The two spade connectors plug into the MS inside the V-glide. Looking at the color coded diagram, my cart has the wire from the switch to the + side of the FNR switched with the wire that goes from the V-glide to the charging port, but it runs. Focusing on your cart, make the wiring match the diagram and you should be able to get it going. Did you check that the FNR MS is functioning and not gunked up?

Re: HELP! Batt cable change now no movement.
I have seen some discrepancy on where that wire goes (either the F-R or the charger). The spot doesn't matter, it all ends up being the same anyway. I have seen carts function just fine with it going to either spot

Re: HELP! Batt cable change now no movement.
Thanks CC & Yellow. it seems to be hooked up correctly, have the MS red spade wire going back to the FNR + post, green spade wire going to the solinoid. It could possibly be the FNR. Whats the best way to clean the FNR? brake cleaner?

Re: HELP! Batt cable change now no movement.
Sorry to hound y'all again, So I spent the last 2 hours tracing every wire on the diagram. Everything is hooked up as printed but as in Yellow's cart the red wire goes to FNR instead of charger. I have clicking but no movement. Could it be the key switch? i pulled the dash and looked at the connections, all good
Thanks Gwagon |
