2003 txt controller amperage?

Is there anyway to tell the amps of my factory controller. I bought a Curtis 350 amp controller for cheap if my old one is 275 will I see a significant difference? Also would a new fr switch and solenoid be required for 350amps?

hrobb, if all you did was replace the controller, then no, you won't see a difference. The fact that the controller is REATED higher, don't mean that your system will need/use any more amperage. Your system now has the ability to access more from your batteries, but unless you put more stress/need for more current.....it won't be supplied. as far as the solenoid and F&R switch....the one you have is fine.

There may be some smallish improvement but it's not enough to make a big difference. Most upgrades are 400-500 amps.
Since you got it, you might just try it and see.

The difference will only exist during hard acceleration from a standstill for the first few feet off the starting line.

Top speed and how much the cart slows going up hills will stay the same.
