Default Double Take Dash

I am just beginning my EZGO 2004 TXT refurb, and was looking at dash options. Has anyone installed a Double Take Locking Storage Dash. If so do you leave the current dash in place or is it completely removed?

I just put one in s couple of weeks ago. Very easy to install and no, it goes over the existing dash.

That looks nice. Do you like it? The cup holders look much more useful than the stock ones. Can you cut in to and add extra switches in the area to the right of the key?

I like it. Thought it stuck out too far to begin with, but it's not to bad unless you are really long legged. We had to extend the wires for the key switch and drill the hole where you see it. You can put more switches or a radio in that space.

MGray,
One more question....... did you remove the factory cup holders on the original dash or do they stay? I'm getting ready to do some re-assembling and want to make sure I leave it ready to mount to! Thanks for the information!

No, the new dash covers up all of your old dash. You just have to relocate the key switch.

Is that front panel, where you have the key, separated from the storage area above it? I'd like to put the key and three switches in that spot but wouldn't want the back of the switches, along with the wires, running right through where I toss miscellaneous junk.

It is separate. Not in the same space.
