Default 1998 series

Guys
I have a 1998 EZ GO series 36 volt, stock.
Problem, is I have no reverse. I have power all the way to the orange wire on the controller. Now the solenoid will not close in reverse but does in forward and will run.
If I apply power (plus) to the solenoid, I will run in reverse also.
Now I have changed the controller and it still does the same thing.
So as you can see I need help. I don't know where to look.

Thanks
Sonny

Sounds like maybe a F&R micro switch problem - test the ms on the drivers side for continuity in F and in R.

They both checked ok. I even put a new one on the passenger side. Same problem.

Thanks

We are looking at the switch on the drivers side for this function. The same micro switch triggers the solenoid activation circuit in F&R so it makes no sense the switch is working and the wires only work in one position unless the switch is actually not working in both F&R.

Sorry I said johnnieB
Now we are talking about the continuity within the mico switch?
I will go check it again.

Scotty
Went back and check switch and it had continuity.
Then I took switch off and found a bend arm, so it couldn't make the switch when I rotated the forward and reverse lever, but would when it did it by hand.
So It's fixed.
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

Sonny

P.s. I can close this thread.
