Default 05 DS Won't Start

I have a 05 Gas DS. It was running fine. I parked in the garage a couple of months ago. It has sat for a little bit because things have gotten busy. Went to take it out last night and it won't start. I can hear the switches clicking. I took them off and sprayed them with contact cleaner just in case. The battery is charged, I checked the fuse and it was fine. All the grounds seem to be tight that I could find. I noticed that the gas was low, so I put some gas in it. I also noticed that there was very little gas in the fuel filter closes to the carb and no gas in the other fuel filter. Any ideas what might be going on? I have the carb off right now and am going to give it a good cleaning, but it looked pretty clean on the inside. Can I jump the solenoid from one post to the other to see if it is the problem? Is there a way to check the starter?

Is the starter/generator spinning over?

No. There is just clicking from the micro switches.

If so, taking the carburetor off & apart will have nothing to do with a non-cranking situation. Do you have a volt meter or test light? At the solenoid see what power you have to the terminal with the larger red wire, should be around 12.6 volts. When the pedal is pressed and you hear the "click" you should have power to the other larger wire terminal (white wire).

Ok. I will try that. Do the empty fuel filters seem weird? Thanks for your help.

First things first. Lets get it to crank and the fuel pump may start pumping gas then. Fuel pump uses a vacuum/pressure pulse from the engine block, so engine needs to be turning over first.

Ok. Tested the ohms and it is staying at 0. I tested the voltage and it is around 12.3 from post to post and I hear a click when I press the pedal down and the voltage stays at 12.3.

You said the battery is charged, and you may have already checked, but I would take both battery cables off, clean them good, inspect the connections on them first. If it is not even turning over then I would think it is a connection or electrical issue and not fuel related.

If the solenoid clicks, the smaller wires and their terminals are not the problem. The larger terminals will have the power in from the battery + post to one side, and the connection to the starter/generator (white wire) on the other side. That terminal with the white wire should not really read battery voltage till the solenoid closes (clicks). When the solenoid does close that white wire terminal should read something closer to the battery+ voltage, but with some voltage drop due to the load of the starter.
Check the voltage there at the white wire side of the solenoid and let us know: key on and off pedal, then on pedal.
