Ok, thanks for you help!

If it will help, I'll try to get some pictures tomorrow to show what I have under the seat.

So you did, or did not mess with the cart wiring? Messed with the key switch? I'm not sure either.

I'm confused too Cg. He has no factory lights. Why would there be 4 wires going to the 12v, with or without a converter? I assume the 5th is to illuminate the switch?

If you disconnect the wires for the light and light switch will the cart run?

Yeah, sorry for the confusion. I guess I am typing with the images in my mind and it's just not coming across.

I did nothing to the existing wiring or switch. The only thing I did was wire in the harness and switch on top of the battery terminals.

Attached is a picture of my battery bank which I have put some labels on. Also, there is a wiring diagram from the manufacturer of the harness and switch. There are a pair of wires from the harness to the battery and a separate pair of wires from the switch to the battery.

Thanks again for all of your help guys.

Well...I think it will. After messing around with it, I unhooked the light but I am pretty sure I drained the batteries (or I fried a controller...hopefully not). I left it charging last night and didn't have time to test it this morning.

I'll know for sure this afternoon if the cart still runs.

Just be careful. Just taking the nuts off of one or more battery terminals to add more wires without putting the run/tow switch in tow mode can glitch the power to your controller and corrupt its memory. If that happens, you'll have to get it reflashed to restore the corrupted memory, or replace it. There are very few repair facilities with the ability to reflash controllers.

Well, that's pretty much what I did...Hopefully I got lucky and nothing crazy happened, but we'll see. There is a pretty reputable shop near me. I may go by and talk to him this afternoon or just have him come pick it up and fix it.
