Power Drive 3
My PD3 will peg out then drop as it charges but then sits at 5 or 6 amps and stays there.

Sounds about right, actually. It takes upwards of 16 hours to finish a charge cycle. When first plugged in, you will see the surge charge with occasional reductions until the charge cycle completes.

It will do that every time and then after 20 mins it will 0 out as it runs a self test and then it restarts again. As the voltage increases, the amps decrease. It is working off the algorithm supplied by the OBC.
