2009 EZGO RXV - which wire(s) for adding a 12V DC USB charger?
Below is a picture I've taken of the area below the RXV's cup holders. Lots of wires, lots of plugs/adapters. Can anyone help me identify where I can slice in an accessory; a dual 12V DC USB charger? (I intend to install the charger in the middle top of the cup holder.)
Thanks, Bill |

First Bill don't splice any wires unless you want to buy a new controller.

You will have to run new wires from the reducer to the 12V USB charger accessory that you want to add. The wires in the dash are keyswitch related and logic circuits for the SOC display guage. Nothing there can be tapped into without risking damage to your controller. There are 48 volt and 5 volt connections in close proximity to one another. Many controllers have been fried by RXV owners just trying to measure voltages with DVMs! Let alone cutting or splicing wires. There are many dozens of posts here covering this exact issue. |

It's best to attach pic, using the paper clip.
I tried attaching yours, but it didn't like it, so I cut the resolution in half horizontally and vertically. |

Okay, I will defer to the more knowledgeable and experienced posters here. I'll close back up the cup holder area and start researching how and where to wire into the Reducer output wires.

LOL! If you are waiting for someone more knowledgeable than Bob on RXVs, well friend, you might as well return that USB thingy. How about you find out who made that China light kit I see in there, then ask them where to "slice into" it. Maybe they are "more knowledgeable".

Bob probably knows more about the RXV than EZGO does... |

There is a channel under your rubber floor mat that the wire harness runs through to get from the front of the cart to the back, that's where I would run the wires.
