No, that is how the TXT and Marathon work. The clicking you hear when you step on the pedal is the motor brake powering up. The RXV powers the solenoid the entire time the key is on. There is an inactivity timer in the RXV controller that will turn off the solenoid after 30 minutes (default time, can be changed) of inactivity. Turn the key off then back on to reset the timer when you're ready to resume operation.
