Tire pressure
I have 15 PSI now and it’s still too firm.
I’m thinking of going down to 5 lbs. I don’t care about wear, just better ride. Thoughts please. |

Re: Tire pressure
Not sure what size tires you have. You will lose some speed.

Re: Tire pressure
Well....I use mine for hunting and I go across some pretty rough stuff. Several years ago (when I set the pressure at 7lbs) I smacked a good rock and that popped the tire from the rim......there I was....flat tire and no spare.
I now have all inflated to 15lbs. Your terrain may dictate the tire pressure. FWIW |

Re: Tire pressure
What brand size of tires and rims.
My harsh ride was solved by replacing worn out rear springs. I would not run lower then 15 psi. Need better ride need to look at tires with a taller sidewall or softer suspension. A cart with leaf spring suspension is not going to ride as smooth as one with coil over shock suspension . |

Re: Tire pressure
What tires do you have now? As others have suggested, the tires might not be the problem.
But then again, crappy tires = a crappy ride. IMHO I would never drop them to 5 psi. |

Re: Tire pressure
Agree with MC - unless you have a compressor near by, 5psi is too low.

Re: Tire pressure
ive got 14" wheels with 23" standard Sahara all terrains. Cart is used 100% for paved neighborhood cruising.
Currently i run it at 15psi. Thinking of going up to 20-25 psi to try and get another mph or so as well as put less strain on the motor/controller. Anyone else noticed a huge difference running a higher psi? max psi for my tires is 36. |

Re: Tire pressure
i know that, im just saying i should be able to run at 25 since it is a much thicker tire. Im not terribly worried about wear as i plan to get a much less aggressive tire on my next go round. Right now just trying to gain a little speed and maybe save my components a little.
