Default 2007 Precedent Upgraded Bandit, Cart Slowed Down

Before the upgrade my stock 2007 was moving 13mph. After installing the upgraded Bandit motor and changing the gear oil it went to 20mph, just like I expected it to. Cart ran like this for a few months until it slowed down to 10mph after blasting off at 20. I’ve ran it a couple times since the initial incident and as it’s running at the reduced speed it catches, tries to take off or go faster, then reverts back to 10mph. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Battery voltage is good. Thanks.

You have a bad speed switch and are in Limp mode. Do the Push-Pull test and check for resistance and beeping.

The push/pull test indicated zero resistance/braking and no beeping as I’ve heard before when backing the cart down from the toy hauler. I do know my regen braking is disabled with the motor upgrade if that’s relevant. Is the speed switch the sensor on the end of the motor? Thank you.

Yep, the sensor is on the end of the motor. Replace it and you'll be back to running like new again. Do not buy a cheap knock off, they don't last. Get a quality OEM one here: https://www.revolutiongolfcars.com/s...sorsandmagnets

Thanks Jake. I’ll get some time in a few days to work on it and report back.

I usually forget to come back and update in a timely manner but it was the sensor. The cart is back to its current top speed. Thanks again for the help.
