Default Yamaha G16

I have a Yamaha G16 that won’t crank, it just clicks at the ignition relay. Any ideas why it’s doing this? I have a brand new battery.

You'll have to get the multi-meter out and check the wiring out. You have to make sure you're getting 12v to the relay, and 12v out of the relay. If not, then you're relay might be bad.

Did you try jumping the relay?

Its a new relay. I thought it was bad because it was doing the same thing before and its still doing the same thing. It just clicks when you depress the pedal.

Have you checked to see the furthest point you are getting power? Solenoid, starter, etc?

I tried to jump the solenoid with a screwdriver and nothing out of solenoid at all. That's as far as I went.

Starter brushes are likely used up. But, they are designed in a way they are easy to check/replace. Starter/generator has to be removed from vehicle.
