Default RXV Trombetta Solenoid ?

I have a 2010 RXV with Danaher controller. The Trombetta 48V solenoid in my cart looks like it is rotated 90° from the solenoids that I have seen pictured in RXVs.

The cart runs great, but I'm thinking this solenoid might be for a TXT.

Does anyone know if this one is correct or if there may be any adverse conditions with it ?

You should have a 36v solenoid with a Danaher controller.

That's what I thought also. I measured the switched small terminal for the solenoid coil and it measured 52.4V. I don't understand it, and it definitely is the Danaher.

Somebody changed it but put the wrong one back on.

The 48v part is right that you are referring to. It's the controller that wants the 36v solenoid because it is set up in the controller to work that way.

Thanks for the clarification. The solenoid was installed by my dealer. The same one who wired all of my lights off from one battery, and told me this cart was a 2015. I wish I had discovered BGW earlier.

My upgraded battery cables arrived today and I want to get it right while I'm at it.

I am still running the original Danaher controller and can confirm it has the 36V Solenoid from the factory. I just happened to check it this weekend when I was inspecting the wires and testing the batteries.

Any point in changing the Solenoid when it's not causing issues?
I read that the OEM units failed often, but this one is dated 2010 and still seems to be fine.

There is nothing wrong with the Trombetta solenoids.

The problem with the solenoids was when RXV's first came out. They had a small solenoid that was hard wired into the system.

According to my service manual, the hardwired solenoid was replaced beginning 6 December 2009 to the newer style.
