Default 2004 club car DS with yewy Charger boils the batteries

So about two years ago the computer went on my cart so I bypassed it and bought a yewy Charger. It’s always boiled over my batteries and I’m not sure why... it seems like it never stops charging. Does anyone have experience with this? I know the Charger was recommended at the time but now the website that sold them doesn’t list them anymore.

How old are the batteries? How full are the batteries? What is the highest voltage you read on the battery pack when the charger will not shut off?
What is the charging amp rate when the charger will not shut off and the voltage is at it's highest.

Batteries are probably close to two years old now.

I always fill them to the fill line but it drops a decent amount when I leave it on the charger overnight

Highest voltage I’ve seen at the battery back was around 53.2 volts and most of the batteries around right at 8.9 volts (one was like 8.7)

I will have to look at the Charger next time for the rate, but it’s humming like it’s charging and the plug that goes into the charger is pretty warm so the amperage going in is pretty high. If I recall the number on the charger is usually right around 54 volts when it’s imo “fully charged”. What should the charge rate be around that time?

When you say 'fill line' are you referring to the bottom of the plastic well in each cell? If so, you're overfilling them...

Ok, you want the water level 1/8 to 1/4" BELOW the bottom of the well. And only top off batteries after a full charge.

Charger is at 13.8 amps as of 10am and I put it on the charger at 6:30 pm last night

I believe overcharging and overfilling has diluted the battery acid. Get a Battery Hydrometer and check the SP.

Okay so it’s been basically 20 hours since I plugged them in, the top of the batteries are now wet and here is what the charger says (see attachments)

It’s still charging at 17amps after 20 hours?
What’s the voltage of each battery individually? It’s showing a pack voltage of 60.2 which is on the low side for charging for that long. Kinda thinking you have a bad battery or two.
