Re: DS Car won’t move
So the cart I have I know is a DS cause I looked it up. Can a DS have an IQ or is that a separate model? Also I will try that if we can confirm.

Re: DS Car won’t move
We all know it is a DS. What we need to know (and more importantly you need to know) is what drive system you have. Look at the diagrams supplied here and you tell us what you have.

Re: DS Car won’t move
Look at your serial number. If it begins with AQ then it has the IQ drive system in it. A means it's a DS and the Q will tell you that it's an IQ cart.

Re: DS Car won’t move
It's an IQ drive system DS.
You have voltage on yellow cable able at the solenoid because the controller gets voltage through other circuits and it is back-feeding up through the yellow cable. That is Normal. The Pink wire coming from the solenoid is 48+ from the pack positive (red cable), that supplies power to the Tow/Run switch which and several other places including the controller, key switch, and the solenoid. You really should not have other cables disconnected while the battery pack is connected because that's an easy way to short the controller out and damage it. If you have any cables loose while the pack is connected, you need to wrap them in tape to prevent them touching other exposed metal or other cables. Another thing is the Red Cable needs to go on the solenoid post First, as it handles the high current from the battery pack it needs to be in direct contact with the bottom of the solenoid post. If any smaller wires are between the large cable and the post it creates a poor connection and can burn the cable and the solenoid. Large cables go on first, then smaller wires. Also there should be a resistor connected across the large posts. Did you remove that? Was the cart driving and stopped working while it was moving? Or was it working one day, parked overnight and the next day it doesn't work? When was the charger last plugged in? Does the charger work? |
