I believe it is always better to build exactly what you want, rather than buy something that is close. Looks like you have a fun project. I'll be following along.

That is good to know. Hopefully my stock motor will last about 3 weeks. Just long enough for the wife to start enjoying the cart before I'm "forced" to upgrade the motor.

i probably have a piece of that battery rail that has been cut out from a cart that i bought for parts and frame is junk. i would have to see if it is damaged if you are interested.
