Default 2007 Ezgo PDS 36v to 48v

Ok, I bought last year the alltrax xct500 and heavy duty solinoid and upgraded the motor but I kept using the 36v. 2ga cables also. I’m thinking of going to the 48v. Only thing I would need is charger, charger port, batteries, and cables right? I figured the upgrade from a standard cart would have shown a big difference but I haven’t been impressed over this year.

most places can or will sell you the correct charger with any type port on it you want....just get one that has the D shaped port.

and you will need the correct 48v COIL SUPPRESSION DIODE and PRE-CHARGE RESISTOR

Yes, I did the same upgrade progress to my cart. I installed new cables, solenoid, and controller and ran the cart 36v until the batteries no longer held a strong reliable charge.
I am now installing new 8v’s, new charging receptacle, picked up a 48v charger, and re-programming the controller for 48v.

Not sure if you've gone through with this yet but another thing to consider of your going to use 8v batteries is too make sure you have a converter for the 12v accessories. Often times with 6v batteries they will just connect the accessories to 2 of the batteries in series to get 12v. Obviously with 8v batteries you won't have that ability.
