1997 G19 Yamaha Steering Issues
Hey Guys, I have a 1997 Yamaha G19 Electric Golf Cart. The cart overall is in good condition however the steering is very sloppy - drifts side to side.
I have been looking for a replacement part or replica part for the steering gear box without any luck. Does anyone have any input? |

Re: 1997 G19 Yamaha Steering Issues
I thought I had the same issue with mine, but then I just checked the toe. It was 2 inches out.
I reset the toe to 1/8 inch out and man it handles so much better. Not to mention the wheel now sits better when your going straight down the road again. You might also want to tighten up the steering box that you have as well if it has a lot of play. Just some suggestions before you start changing parts you dont need! |

Re: 1997 G19 Yamaha Steering Issues
Ok, will give that a try! The steer shaft moves up and down when turning the steering wheel. I am going to drag the cart back to the house where I have my tools and dig into it.
