Default DS 36 to 48v

I recently acquired an older ds 36v in great shape and want to upgrade it to 48v. I know scotty b has or had a kit to do this using an altrax controller. I know basically all electronics need to be stripped from the cart in order to make this work.

My questions are:

1. I have an altrax 500amp controller from an ezgo pds that I was saving in case another PDS came around. Is there a way I could use this controller for my DS. Assuming I'd need to change out the microswitches and all from the pedal...and get a D style charger port (I have a 48v PDS with a DPI Charger and would love to use the same charger).

2. If it does work, what else would I need?

3. Given that the PDS is a Regen Cart, would my DS now have regen?

Thanks in advance.

The PDS is a separately excited system, your Club Car is a series system It can be done if you are determined and handy enough, but it's not practical. It would require changing out the motor itself, forward reverse switch system, throttle system & almost all the wiring - in addition to the controller and solenoid.
