Very misleading. What about that resistor. Certainly D&D knows the XCT control does not use a pre-charge resistor. Just look at the owners manual diagram?
Is there any potential damage that could happen from having the precharge resistor on the solenoid since the xct doesn't need it?

Not that I'm aware of...but this question hasn't come up before.

I would take if off per the Alltrax install diagram for your cart. See the owners manual

So I called D&D today and read off the portion in the XCT manual about not using a resistor. He was very insistent that I not modify anything in the setup they gave me.

Got an email back from alltrax regarding the issue:
Controller doesn’t need it, but leaving it on doesn’t hurt anything. It’s just redundant because we built a precharge resistor into the tow/run circuit of the controller.
