Default Do i need to replace my solenoid?

Good afternoon,

I recently bought a 2000 EZGO TXT 36v Series cart that came with an Alltrax SR48500 controller and stock solenoid (not sure what type of solenoid this is, no markings) I was wondering if the solenoid is something i need to upgrade to a heavy duty one?

The cart seems to be working fine and does about 14-15mph. Doesn't seem to be heating up or anything but wondering if i need to update and if so, what will the difference be?

Thanks,

Joe

You would not notice any difference. If it's working, I wouldn't bother replacing it.

Stock solenoid would probably be a White Rodgers and would be marked.. If yours isn’t marked it was probably replaced when the Alltrax was put in.

That’s not a stock solenoid. That looks a lot like the 200 amp SW180 solenoid or similar. I’d keep it.
