2011 48v TXT controller/speed question
I致e got a 2011 48v txt with a stock Curtis controller (1206HB-5201). I知 getting about 12mph out of it and looking to upgrade speed. I don稚 have an ezgo dealer very close and want to refrain from trailering my cart somewhere to get freedom mode programmed. If I buy a used controller with freedom mode already unlocked will I be able to replace the current controller and get the 19mph speeds? What options do I have for achieving freedom mode without trailering my cart several hours?
New here and new to golf carts. Apologies as I know this is a typical question. Just looking for some options and clarification. |

Re: 2011 48v TXT controller/speed question
A TXT Freedom controller will say Freedom on the label. Saying it's already in freedom mode. You can ship your controller to someone who can program your controller for you. You can also buy another controller that is already in Freedom mode and just replace your old controller.

You can also get an Alltrax controller for 22-23 mph and increased power.

Re: 2011 48v TXT controller/speed question
If Navitas would publish their output tests like Alltrax does we would know.

Re: 2011 48v TXT controller/speed question
Given same batteries and same motor, most good controllers should give about the same maximum performance.

Re: 2011 48v TXT controller/speed question
I use my cart primarily for golf so I知 not looking to go super fast. But the 12.5mph I知 getting on a stock controller is tough. Hoping to buy an Curtis controller already programmed for freedom mode for 19mph and plug and play for my cart if at all possible

You can use the ezgo passkey. There was a guy that used to rent one out on here.

I see there's a 1206HB-5201 controller on Marketplace I'll ask if it's still available.
