me too,and for the life of me i cant figure it out...the equalizer will not equalize,and i cant get any brake action at all.i see the levers moving ,everything is new inside there and correctly installed,so i m hoping im suppossed to adjust them out towards the drum from the big hole in the hub...??..i will try tomorrow ,,still doesnt answer the uneven equalizer.

I always recommend folks download the manual and follow the chapter on brakes step by step. Too many people jump in and start making random changes/adjustments, without treating this as a system. Start from the top, and work your way down.
Even if these aren't exact year matches, many systems didn't change from year to year.
