Heh heh.. My friend that gave it to me is cool with it. He's the kind of guy that runs it till it breaks and buys a new one I offered to give it back to him after I got it up and running but he said he's gonna buy a new one this spring!

Must be nice huh?

Nice find PCB. I have an 88 also, not free though I paid $100 for mine. It didn't need anything except for some fresh gas and a new battery to get it going. You will have fun with it.

10-4 man..having lots of fun with it the past couple months for sure. I'd have paid $100 for the one I got too but he didn't want anything for it! He and his wife are good friends of ours that we get together with when they are up for the weekend or on vacation.

I enjoyed reading the story. I just bought my first cart, a marathon with the 3PG, and have done alot of the stuff you mentioned. I also did the HEI conversion I read about on here with great results, you might check that out Good luck and keep us posted

Yes, I installed a new HEI coil along with the module. The cart ran ok before, but after the conversion it really takes off much quicker and runs much better overall. It went on very easy and I picked up everything needed for under $50 from my local parts store.
