Default G1 starting

Just got 83 yamaha gas cart was sitting for awhile because starter motor was not working, got that fixed and turns unit over but won,t run. Compresion is 120, new fuel and filter, clean air filter and no modifications that I can see.Poured oil down head and started and ran for awhile then looses throttle. Could valves be stuck open from sitting? Motor feels hot so mixxed a little oil with fuel in case injector pump not working. If your batery voltage gets low, will it weaken ignition spark, even though it turns the starter?
Thanks Peter

sounds like you should start with cleaning the carb. or fuel pump. spary some starting fluid in and see if it starts..

Bad idea get a spray bottle and mix some gas and oil for testing.

Do a search on google for bolt torque charts
mark and photo every step of disassembly
bag and label every nut bolt and washer
get a six pack and get your best mechanic friend over.

Many posts on crankshaft seal replacements on G1's here, just do a search. Or like Dooms say's do it your self and take note's and pictures. You will need a special "fixed sheave" puller, or like others here, make one. I think service manuals for G1's are less then 50.00, You only paid 50.00 for your cart?....I pay more then that for a carton of smokes (I no..very bad), have fun with your new toy.
