Rewire g2 cart
We have a yamaha g2 golf cart that the wires have been mucked around with and sometimes it cuts out and such and wires are cut left and right. What would be the best way to go about this.... use my own wire or is there a place I can buy a wire harness?

Re: Rewire g2 cart
If you can trace connections to the igniter, it's cheaper to do your own wiring. Otherwise, the stock wiring harness is your only other option.

Re: Rewire g2 cart
Others have a hard time finding wire looms. I would just get some shrink tubing and solder the wires together or replace sections. It is common to have connection issues in these old carts in particular the ground wiring. Crimp connectors typically don't last on carts, piercing crimps are better if taped up well. Solder is best.

The stock wire harness (from Yamaha) is J38-82590-21-00, suggested retail is $72.74. What is your time worth? Good luck on your project.
