Default she's starting to shimmy....she's starting to shudder

I have a 95 CC DS 48v. Bought it used several weeks ago, replaced the OBC, solenoid, and cleaned it up. I also bought a set of batteries that I was told were in good shape. I put the batteries in, and all seemed well in the world.

I then took the cart to my campground that has some small hills. Nothing major, not rock climbing hills, nothing too steep, but certainly not flat ground. (hills smaller than I have encountered at your average golf course for sure)

When I try to climb these small hills, the cart shudders and shakes like it’s not getting enough power. As soon as I am back on flat ground (after a push), the cart returns to normal.

I am pretty sure that I have some weak batteries, but before I replaced them, I thought I would ask around. I have heard something about motor brushes or gears that could cause this, but the battery solution makes more sense because it’s not a constant problem, it only happens when going up hill…

Thoughts?
