Spray painting the roof??

overlap each pass and like mike said, don't start & stop over your work. use multiple light coats vs one or two heavy coats. the first coat i like to "dust" it on, after that i spray each coat for a consistent wet look. leave the cans outside in the sun prior to spraying. shake thoroughly before and during painting. my 2¢ fwiw

Okay, I finished spraying the roof and it looms really good except for one thing. The top of the roof appears to have lots of spray paint dust on it. If I wipe it with my finger in a swirling motion it will cone off but I want to make sure I don't take off the paint. Is there any recommendations for polishing or anything similar that will take off the "dusty" rough look? The under side of the roof looks great, just mote concerned about the top.

you can lightly wet sand with something like 1500 grit. no guarantees that you won't take it down past the paint, but it will remove the gritty dusty stuff! may need to wait 7 days to re-topcoat if you sand too far. check the instructions on the can. start high with the grit, 1500 or 2000 and wet. you can always go down in grit if it doesn't cut enough.
